Miguel Dominguez/Mexico/Alien Smuggling

by G. George | July 29, 2025

Miguel Dominguez, a 19-year-old citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE San Diego following his conviction for alien smuggling. Dominguez was previously taken into custody by federal authorities after being caught transporting individuals who had unlawfully crossed into the United States. After his criminal conviction, he was processed for immigration enforcement due to his illegal presence in the country.

Dominguez’s arrest followed his release from criminal custody related to the smuggling offense. ICE deportation officers identified him as a removal priority and acted swiftly to ensure he did not reenter the community. Court records confirm that Dominguez knowingly participated in an organized operation to transport illegal aliens, endangering lives and violating immigration law.

He is currently detained in ICE custody as his removal case proceeds. ICE officials stated that Dominguez does not have legal status in the United States and has no pending applications that would make him eligible to remain. His prior conviction and illegal presence in the country make him subject to removal under federal law.

Miguel Dominguez will remain detained pending the outcome of his immigration court proceedings.
