Miguel Solarzano-Dominguez/Honduras/Cocaine Possession
On January 29, 2025, ICE New Orleans, with assistance of the DEA and HSI, arrested Miguel Solarzano-Dominguez, a citizen of Honduras. Solarzano-Dominguez has been convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and sentenced to a term of 18 months. Solarzano-Dominguez is also a confirmed member of the “Tango Blast” criminal street gang.
In a similar case to Solarzano-Dominguez, on February 25, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston arrested 34-year-old Luis Miguel Perez-Miranda, a citizen of El Salvador, during a targeted operation in Dayton, Texas.
Perez-Miranda is a confirmed member of the MS-13 gang and had been previously removed from the United States on six separate occasions. Despite those removals, he unlawfully reentered the U.S. at an unknown date and location without being inspected or paroled by an immigration official.
Perez-Miranda came to the attention of ICE following an alleged homicide in the Houston area. According to ICE records, he has a criminal history that includes felony convictions for drug trafficking, drug possession, and illegal reentry. His prior arrests and convictions span multiple jurisdictions, and he has been identified by law enforcement as a repeat immigration violator with ties to transnational criminal activity.
ICE officers arrested Perez-Miranda without incident and placed him into agency custody. At the time of arrest, he had no pending immigration applications or legal protections to prevent his removal. He is currently detained in Texas and is undergoing removal proceedings before an immigration judge.
