Mong Cheng/Thailand/Homicide, Vehicle Theft, Arson Charge

Mong Cheng, a criminal illegal alien from Thailand and documented member of the Oriental Boys gang, has emerged as one of the most violent offenders identified in a recent enforcement push in Minnesota.

Records show Cheng has been convicted of two counts of homicide, along with assault, vehicle theft, two counts of property damage, three counts of possessing stolen property — including a stolen vehicle — and possession of narcotics equipment.​

Investigators say Cheng’s history of lethal violence and repeat property crimes, combined with his gang affiliation, has made him a persistent threat in the communities where he operated. Officials also confirm he is currently facing a pending charge for arson of a residence, adding a serious new allegation to an already extensive criminal record.
