U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested Nadiuska Saray Rodriguez-Ochoa, a Venezuelan national with a pending charge for aggravated assault with a weapon and a prior shoplifting conviction. The arrest follows Rodriguez-Ochoa’s criminal record involving both violent and property offenses.

According to authorities, Rodriguez-Ochoa faces a pending charge of aggravated assault with a weapon, involving an alleged unlawful threat or use of force against another person. She also has a prior conviction for shoplifting, documenting the unlawful taking of merchandise from a retail establishment. ICE officials state that both the pending violent charge and the property crime conviction led to immigration enforcement action.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations took Rodriguez-Ochoa into custody. She is currently being held in federal immigration detention awaiting resolution of her pending criminal case and removal proceedings back to Venezuela. The agency emphasizes that foreign nationals with combinations of violent charges and property crime convictions face priority enforcement.

“Our officers target individuals with patterns of criminal behavior that threaten public safety,” an ICE spokesman stated. The agency continues to enforce immigration law against foreign nationals facing pending charges or with prior convictions.

Rodriguez-Ochoa’s case reflects federal priorities addressing foreign nationals with multiple types of criminal conduct.
