On January 29, 2025, ICE Chicago arrested a citizen of Venezuela, for Immigrant with No Valid Entry Document and a Final Order of Removal. The subject, whose name was not released, is a suspected member of Tren de Aragua with alleged criminal gang activity and remains in ICE custody.
Similarly, on February 3, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) El Paso arrested 27-year-old Venezuelan national Jackson Javier Irazabal-Rodriguez in El Paso, Texas. Irazabal-Rodriguez is a known member of the Tren de Aragua transnational criminal organization and was taken into custody for immigration violations, including unlawful presence in the United States.
According to ICE records, Irazabal-Rodriguez had previously entered the United States illegally and was apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol agents. Despite being removed from the country, he unlawfully reentered at an unknown time and location without inspection or parole by an immigration official. At the time of his arrest, he had no pending immigration relief or legal protections to prevent his removal. Irazabal-Rodriguez remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his removal proceedings.
