Oeun Lam/Cambodia/Murder, Armed Robbery, Armed Assault
Officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Boston arrested Oeun Lam, a criminal alien from Cambodia, on December 19. The arrest was executed as part of an ongoing enforcement initiative designed to remove dangerous offenders from the region. Lam was taken into custody based on a severe criminal record which includes convictions for murder, armed robbery, and armed assault.
An ICE spokesman addressed the operation, stating, “ICE Boston will continue to tirelessly pursue dangerous criminal aliens to keep our communities safe.” Authorities emphasized that individuals convicted of violent felonies such as homicide and armed robbery represent a significant threat to public safety. Lam is currently detained in federal custody while his removal proceedings are finalized. This case highlights the agency’s commitment to locating and deporting noncitizens who have committed serious violent crimes within the United States.
