Authorities located him and took him into custody, transporting him to a detention facility pending removal proceedings related to his criminal history, gang affiliation, and unlawful presence.

“Cases involving assault, flight to avoid prosecution, and confirmed gang affiliation with transnational criminal organizations receive the highest priority in immigration enforcement operations due to the serious threat such individuals pose to community safety,” a spokesman said.
