Pascal Habimana/Congo/Possession Stolen Vehicle, Carrying Concealed Weapon

Authorities in Jackson, Michigan, arrested Democratic Republic of the Congo national Pascal Habimana in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation and related offenses. Officers located Habimana after reports of suspicious activity near parked cars, where items had recently been reported missing. During the encounter, police determined the vehicle he was using had been reported stolen and took him into custody at the scene.

A search of Habimana and the vehicle led to the recovery of property believed to be taken from a nearby automobile, along with a concealed firearm that investigators say he did not lawfully possess. Habimana was transported to the local jail to face charges that include possession of a stolen vehicle, larceny from an auto, and carrying a concealed weapon. He is expected to appear before a Jackson-area court for arraignment on the pending charges.
