Pedro Chuy-Lendechy, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on convictions for aggravated assault with a weapon and aggravated assault with a weapon against a family member during a federal enforcement operation. Authorities located him and took him into custody, transporting him to a detention facility pending removal proceedings related to his criminal history and unlawful presence.

Court records and federal documentation confirm Chuy-Lendechy’s convictions for aggravated assault with a weapon, reflecting serious bodily harm or threat of harm using a dangerous implement, and aggravated assault with a weapon against a family member, reflecting violent conduct directed at a household or family member using a firearm or other dangerous weapon.

Officials stated that his case was identified through a systematic review of noncitizens with outstanding criminal convictions and immigration violations in the Saint Paul area. Authorities noted that convictions involving multiple weapons-based assaults, particularly those directed at family members, demonstrate serious patterns of violent conduct and pose significant ongoing safety threats within households.

“Cases involving aggravated assault with weapons directed at family members represent serious violent conduct and receive the highest priority in removal proceedings to protect household safety,” a spokesman said.
