Ricolson Constantin/Haiti/Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer with a Weapon, Robbery, Domestic Violence Battery
ICE New Orleans, working with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, FBI New Orleans, and the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Ricolson Constantin, a citizen of Haiti who is unlawfully present in the United States. According to law enforcement records, Constantin’s criminal history includes aggravated assault of a police officer with a weapon, robbery, and domestic violence battery, along with additional entries for cocaine possession, resisting arrest, and theft. He was taken into custody in the New Orleans area and processed for immigration detention while his case proceeds before an immigration judge.
Aggravated assault of a police officer with a weapon is charged when a person intentionally uses or displays a weapon against an officer performing official duties. Investigations typically rely on body worn camera footage, witness statements, medical documentation of injuries, and recovered weapons. Robbery involves taking property by force or intimidation; prosecutors commonly present surveillance video, victim accounts, and recovery logs linking the subject to the loss. Domestic violence battery concerns unlawful physical force against a family or household member and is often corroborated by photographs of injuries, 911 recordings, prior incident histories, and protective order records.
Following his arrest, officers completed biometric identity verification, compiled certified arrest and court documents, and documented immigration history for presentation in court. Constantin will remain detained while removal proceedings advance, including custody review and scheduling before the immigration judge. Any state prosecutions connected to the listed offenses proceed on a separate track and will be reflected in the immigration file as they are resolved. If a final order of removal is issued, officials will coordinate travel documentation with the receiving government and arrange transportation in accordance with federal procedures.
