Robersi Del Orbe-Sanchez/Dominican Republic/Homicide

Robersi Del Orbe-Sanchez, a 39-year-old citizen of the Dominican Republic, was deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers with the New Orleans Field Office. Del Orbe-Sanchez had been illegally present in the United States and was identified as a foreign fugitive wanted in his home country for homicide. Dominican law enforcement authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a deadly violent crime, prompting international efforts to locate and return him to face justice.

After being located in the U.S., ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Del Orbe-Sanchez and initiated removal proceedings. Given the severity of the outstanding homicide charge and his fugitive status, Del Orbe-Sanchez was held in custody throughout the process to ensure he would not evade justice by remaining in the United States unlawfully.

On June 14, 2025, ICE officers successfully carried out his deportation to the Dominican Republic, where he was turned over to law enforcement authorities. His removal followed coordination between U.S. immigration enforcement and foreign legal authorities to ensure accountability for violent criminal offenses committed abroad. Del Orbe-Sanchez’s deportation marks another example of ICE targeting foreign fugitives who attempt to hide in the United States after committing serious crimes in their home countries.
