Romero Hernandez
Romero Hernandez/Honduras/Child Molestation
Romero Hernandez, a 46-year-old citizen of Honduras and an illegal alien in the United States, was deported by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans following a conviction for child molestation. Hernandez had been residing unlawfully in the U.S. when he was arrested and prosecuted for sexually abusing a minor. He was convicted in a U.S. court for child molestation and sentenced to serve time in state custody.
After completing his sentence, Hernandez was transferred directly into ICE custody for immigration enforcement. He had no lawful status in the United States and had previously entered the country illegally. ICE officers reviewed his case, confirmed his identity and nationality, and placed him into removal proceedings based on his criminal conviction and immigration violations.
An immigration judge ordered Hernandez removed from the United States. Once all legal and procedural steps were completed, including coordination with Honduran authorities, ICE officers from the New Orleans Field Office carried out the deportation. Hernandez was flown under ICE escort and turned over to Honduran officials upon arrival.
Due to the nature of his conviction, Hernandez is permanently inadmissible to the United States and barred from returning under any circumstances. His removal ensures he will not have further opportunities to reoffend in the U.S.
