Rony Adiel Villatoro-Hernandez/Guatemala/Domestic Violence, Property Damage

ICE Salt Lake City, St. George Sub-Office, arrested Rony Adiel Villatoro-Hernandez, a 38-year-old citizen of Guatemala and an illegal alien present in the United States since 2014. Villatoro-Hernandez was taken into ICE custody during a targeted enforcement action focused on individuals with criminal convictions and no lawful immigration status. He admitted to agents that he has been living in the country illegally for more than a decade.

Villatoro-Hernandez has a criminal conviction related to a domestic violence incident that resulted in property damage. According to court records, the offense occurred in the presence of a child, which escalates the severity of the case under Utah law. ICE officials determined that his conviction and illegal presence make him subject to removal under federal immigration statutes. His criminal history and disregard for immigration laws contributed to the decision to initiate enforcement action.

Following his arrest, Villatoro-Hernandez was issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge.
