Ruben Antonio Fuentes/El Salvador/Drug Offenses, Cruelty Toward A Child, Weapons Violation

ICE officers arrested 35-year-old Salvadoran national Ruben Antonio Fuentes in Danbury, Connecticut, during a targeted enforcement operation focused on high-risk criminal aliens. Fuentes is an illegal alien whose criminal history in Connecticut includes convictions for drug and cocaine offenses, harassment, carrying a prohibited weapon, cruelty toward a child, and obscene or abusive communication.​

Authorities identified Fuentes as one of the “worst of the worst” offenders swept up during recent multi-day operations that netted dozens of removable noncitizens with serious criminal records across the state.

He is currently held in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings, with officials indicating that his record of child cruelty, weapons violations, and narcotics crimes makes him a priority candidate for removal from the United States.
