Sandeep Sharma/India/Multiple DUIs, Property Damage

ICE San Francisco arrested Sandeep Sharma, a 39-year-old illegal alien from India, on July 18. Sharma has a history of repeated criminal behavior, including multiple convictions for driving under the influence. His most recent arrest followed a series of incidents in which he caused property damage while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Sharma originally entered the United States legally but violated the terms of his stay and has since remained in the country unlawfully. Over the past several years, he has been arrested multiple times in the Bay Area for DUI offenses. In at least two cases, his impaired driving resulted in significant property damage, including collisions with parked vehicles and public infrastructure. Local police reports indicate Sharma showed little regard for court-imposed restrictions, continuing to engage in reckless and unlawful behavior even after prior convictions.

Following notification from local authorities, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers with ICE took Sharma into custody. He is currently detained at an ICE facility in California and will remain in custody while undergoing removal proceedings. Due to his pattern of criminal activity and failure to comply with immigration law, ICE has prioritized his case for removal from the United States.
