Sara Araceli Garcia-Carrera, a citizen of Guatemala illegally present in the United States, was arrested by ICE ERO Boston in Stamford, Connecticut. The 34-year-old woman was taken into custody due to her extensive and concerning criminal history that includes multiple serious offenses.

Garcia-Carrera has been charged with bribery of a witness, an offense that involves attempting to influence or obstruct legal testimony through illegal means. She also faces charges for witness tampering, further indicating efforts to interfere with the judicial process. In addition, she has been charged with risk of injury to a child—an especially troubling offense that raises concerns about the safety and welfare of minors in her care or presence.

ICE officers arrested Garcia-Carrera following coordination with local law enforcement authorities who had identified her for criminal violations. She was determined to be unlawfully present in the country and was placed into ICE custody. An immigration judge will determine the outcome of her removal proceedings.

Garcia-Carrera is currently being held in ICE custody and will remain detained while her case proceeds through the immigration court system.
