Selvin Garcia-Baca/Honduras/18th Street Gang Member
Selvin Garcia-Baca, a 31-year-old citizen of Honduras and confirmed member of the violent 18th Street Gang, was deported by ERO New Orleans following the execution of a final order of removal. Garcia-Baca was previously encountered by immigration authorities after multiple arrests and documented gang affiliations during his time in the United States. According to law enforcement records, he had been detained in connection with criminal activity linked to transnational gang operations, including intimidation, drug distribution, and weapons-related offenses. Although not all of his prior arrests resulted in convictions, Garcia-Baca’s affiliation with the 18th Street Gang was confirmed through documented tattoos, law enforcement interviews, and interagency intelligence reports.
After an immigration judge issued a final removal order, Garcia-Baca remained in ICE custody while deportation arrangements were finalized. He had no legal basis to remain in the U.S. and did not qualify for any form of relief or protection from removal. ICE prioritized his case due to the threat posed by his gang affiliation and past involvement in criminal networks.
On the day of deportation, Garcia-Baca was transferred to the custody of Honduran authorities upon arrival in his home country. The removal of known gang members such as Garcia-Baca continues to be part of ICE’s targeted enforcement efforts aimed at reducing organized criminal influence within U.S. communities.
