Sergio Antonio Alberto-Rodriguez/Honduras/Aggravated Sexual Battery Of A Child

Los Angeles-based Enforcement and Removal Operations officers arrested 40-year-old Honduran national Sergio Antonio Alberto-Rodriguez on December 1 during a targeted operation. Authorities report that Alberto-Rodriguez has prior convictions for aggravated sexual battery with a victim under 13 years old and object sexual penetration with a victim under 13, both serious child sex felonies under state law.​

Because his record involves multiple sexual offenses against very young children, ICE has classified him as a high-priority criminal alien for enforcement and removal. He is currently being held in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings, and officials indicate that his case is being handled with heightened urgency to ensure he is removed from the United States as soon as legally permissible while protecting the community from further risk.​
