Sergio Choc-Yat/Mexico/Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

ICE Harlingen arrested Sergio Choc-Yat, a twenty eight year old citizen of Mexico who is unlawfully present in the United States. According to arrest records from Laredo, Texas, Choc-Yat was recently taken into custody on a state charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This is an arrest, not a conviction; the criminal allegation will be adjudicated in the appropriate court under the required burden of proof. He has been placed in removal proceedings and was transferred to immigration detention for processing.
