On February 19th, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Baltimore arrested Sergio Francisco Guzman Cano, a citizen of Mexico and convicted sex offender. Guzman Cano was convicted in 2019 for Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Guzman Cano is a prior B1/B2 overstay who entered the U.S. in 2008 and was ordered removed in 2021 by an Immigration Judge.

Eight days before, on February 11, 2025, ICE arrested Freddy Mogollan, a 41-year-old Mexican citizen, in San Diego. Mogollan had been convicted on September 9, 2022, for possession of child pornography, peeking through a private area, and invading privacy with a concealed camera.

His prior criminal history includes offenses related to sexual exploitation. Mogollan entered the U.S. illegally and was a prior overstay. His arrest is part of ICE’s broader efforts to remove individuals who have committed serious criminal offenses and are unlawfully residing in the U.S. ICE continues to focus on individuals involved in sex offenses and other serious crimes who pose a public safety risk.
