On January 28, 2025, ICE San Diego administratively arrested, Seyidxan Hisen Salih, an inadmissible Syrian national. Salih was order removed by an immigration judge on August 14, 2024.

Salih was identified as having a criminal history of aggravated assault with a weapon, battery, domestic violence, burglary, vehicle theft, and drug possession. Salih will remain in ICE custody pending removal.

Similar to Hisen Salih, on January 28, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston arrested 36-year-old Jorge Carvajal Castrejon, a Mexican national, during an immigration enforcement action in Texas. Castrejon had unlawfully entered the United States on six separate occasions, each time violating federal immigration laws. Despite multiple deportations, he had reentered the country without authorization and was located by ICE officers during a targeted operation. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to an ICE detention facility for further processing.

According to official records, Castrejon had also been convicted in Harris County for driving while impaired, adding to his immigration violations. He was previously removed from the U.S. but failed to comply with the conditions of his return. Following his most recent arrest, ICE officers issued a reinstated order of removal and confirmed his ineligibility for relief under current immigration statutes.

Castrejon did not possess legal status or any pending applications that would permit him to remain in the United States. He was served with an I-871 Notice of Intent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order and remains in ICE custody at a facility in Texas pending his removal to Mexico.
