Silvano Paxtian-Diaga, a 41-year-old citizen of Mexico and an illegal alien in the United States, was arrested by ICE after accumulating a troubling criminal record. Paxtian has been arrested five times for driving while intoxicated. His DWI arrests occurred across multiple jurisdictions, demonstrating a continued disregard for public safety and state laws. In addition to his repeated DWI infractions, Paxtian violated the terms of his probation in Virginia, further compounding his legal troubles.

ICE officers located and apprehended Paxtian following his latest violation. He was determined to be illegally present in the U.S., and immigration authorities confirmed he has no legal basis to remain in the country. His pattern of criminal behavior—especially repeated impaired driving offenses—posed a continued risk to the community.

Paxtian was taken into ICE custody without incident and is currently being held pending the outcome of formal removal proceedings. A review of his criminal history and immigration file resulted in a decision to prioritize his case for removal due to the public safety concerns stemming from his conduct. He is not eligible for relief from deportation, and ICE has confirmed plans to carry out his removal following the conclusion of proceedings.

Individuals who violate criminal laws while unlawfully present in the U.S. may face swift enforcement action and detention. ICE continues to enforce immigration laws and hold individuals accountable for serious and repeated offenses.
