Soutthavong Sounivong, a 52-year-old citizen of Laos, was arrested by ICE officers assigned to the Salt Lake City field office’s Las Vegas Sub-Office during targeted enforcement efforts in Nevada. Sounivong is a documented member of the Asian Boyz gang and has an extensive criminal record spanning multiple felony convictions across various jurisdictions.
Sounivong’s criminal history includes convictions for burglary, possession of illegal firearms, and drug offenses. He has also been convicted of larceny, possession of stolen property, and trespassing. These offenses reflect a consistent pattern of criminal activity that has drawn the attention of both local and federal law enforcement agencies.
The Asian Boyz gang, known for its involvement in violent crimes and narcotics trafficking, has been a longstanding concern for law enforcement across the western United States. Sounivong’s membership in this group and his repeat criminal conduct contributed to his identification as a priority for arrest by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations.
