The Minh Tran
The Minh Tran/Vietnam/Aggravated Assault, Resisting an Officer, Battery
The Minh Tran, a 34-year-old citizen of Vietnam, was arrested by officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Denver following his release from state custody. Tran has an extensive criminal history in the United States, including convictions for aggravated assault, discharging a firearm, obstruction of justice, resisting a law enforcement officer, and battery. These offenses led to a decade-long prison sentence, during which he served time for multiple violent acts that posed a serious threat to public safety.
Tran originally entered the United States without legal status and remained unlawfully in the country. After completing his 10-year prison sentence, authorities immediately transferred him to ICE custody for immigration enforcement action. ICE confirmed that Tran’s violent conduct and disregard for U.S. laws made him a priority for removal. He has no legal avenues to remain in the country and is now subject to immigration proceedings.
Tran is currently being held at a secure ICE detention facility in Colorado. Removal proceedings are underway, and he will remain in custody until a final decision is made regarding his deportation.
