On January 27, 2025, ICE San Diego administratively arrested an inadmissible Afghanistan national and a Known or Suspected Terrorist (KST). The subject (pictured) was identified as having a final order of removal and will be held in ICE custody pending his removal from the U.S.

Similarly, On February 24, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), in coordination with the FBI, arrested 51-year-old Isidro Jimenez, a Mexican national, in Coachella, California. Jimenez was unlawfully present in the United States and had a prior criminal history involving felony drug trafficking and weapons offenses. According to federal records, he had previously served multiple prison terms in California and had been identified as a priority for enforcement due to the severity of his convictions.

During the arrest operation, agents located Jimenez at a private residence. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to a secure ICE detention facility. Officials confirmed that Jimenez had previously been deported from the United States but unlawfully reentered at an unknown time and place. He now faces removal proceedings and is ineligible for immigration relief due to his criminal record and prior removals.
