Victor Hernandez-Silva, a 37-year-old citizen of Mexico and an illegal alien in the United States, was arrested in Colorado during a joint operation conducted by ICE Denver and the FBI Denver field office. Hernandez-Silva came to the attention of federal authorities due to his ongoing criminal activity and immigration violations. He currently faces several pending charges, including driving under the influence with prior offenses, stalking, and possession of a controlled substance.

Law enforcement identified Hernandez-Silva as a threat due to his repeated disregard for public safety and the law. The DUI charge with priors highlights a pattern of dangerous behavior on the road, while the stalking and drug-related offenses underscore a broader concern for community safety. ICE placed an immigration detainer on Hernandez-Silva after confirming he had no lawful status in the United States and had not complied with previous removal instructions.

After being taken into federal custody, Hernandez-Silva was transferred to an ICE detention facility in Colorado. He will remain in ICE custody pending the outcome of his immigration proceedings. If ordered removed by an immigration judge, ICE will coordinate with Mexican authorities to facilitate his deportation.

Hernandez-Silva’s case represents another instance of a foreign national with a serious criminal profile being detained for immigration enforcement after posing a threat to residents in the Denver metro area.
