William Alexander Telles Amaya/El Salvador/Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child

William Alexander Telles Amaya, a 35-year-old Salvadoran national, is a criminal alien and habitual child predator arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on August 18 during a targeted enforcement operation in southeast Texas. Authorities described him as a high-priority offender due to multiple prior child sex convictions.​

According to public reports, Amaya has been convicted three times for child sex offenses. His record includes aggravated sexual assault of a child in April 2006, failure to register as a sex offender in May 2015, and sexual indecency with a minor in July 2025. These convictions, spanning nearly two decades, demonstrate a persistent pattern of predatory behavior toward minors.​

Officials highlighted Amaya’s arrest as part of a broader operation aimed at removing what they called the “worst of the worst” criminal non-citizens from the Houston area.
