Wilmer Mancia-Morales/Honduras/Burglary

Wilmer Mancia-Morales, a 40-year-old Honduran national, was arrested on May 8 by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers in Harlingen, Texas. Mancia-Morales is unlawfully present in the United States and has a serious criminal history, including a felony conviction for burglary of habitation. According to authorities, the offense involved unlawful entry into a private residence with the intent to commit a felony or theft — a charge considered particularly severe due to the invasion of personal living space.

Prior to his arrest by ICE, Mancia-Morales had completed part of his criminal sentence and had been released into the community. Federal immigration officers located and apprehended him shortly thereafter, ensuring he would not remain in the U.S. without facing the consequences of both his immigration violations and his criminal history. ICE placed an immigration detainer on Mancia-Morales, and he is expected to remain in agency custody throughout the duration of his immigration proceedings.

Currently, Mancia-Morales is facing potential federal prosecution for reentering the country without authorization following a prior removal.
