Wilmer Mancia-Morales/Honduras/Burglary
On May 8, 2025, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety, arrested Wilmer Mancia-Morales, a Honduran national, in Harlingen, Texas. Mancia-Morales had previously been removed from the United States and reentered unlawfully. His arrest followed a targeted enforcement operation focused on noncitizens with criminal histories and prior removal orders.
Mancia-Morales was previously convicted of burglary of a residence after he was found to have unlawfully entered a private home and stolen personal property. The offense took place in Texas and resulted in a felony conviction. He served time in a state correctional facility before being deported by ICE in 2021.
Despite his prior removal, Mancia-Morales illegally reentered the United States without authorization. Under federal law, unlawful reentry after removal is a criminal offense. Following his recent arrest, ICE confirmed that Mancia-Morales is now facing federal prosecution for reentry after deportation. If convicted, he could receive additional prison time before being removed again from the country.
At the time of his arrest, Mancia-Morales had no legal immigration status and no pending relief applications. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently detained at an ICE facility in Texas. He will remain in custody while his criminal case and removal proceedings continue.
