Federal officials included Alvarez Vera on ICE’s public list of individuals arrested during Operation Metro Surge, highlighting his gang affiliation and serious drug trafficking convictions. The Department of Homeland Security classified him among the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens targeted for removal from the United States.
