by G. George | May 06, 2026

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Zi Ming Lu, a criminal illegal alien from China, in Atlanta, Georgia, on charges of counterfeiting.

Counterfeiting involves the unauthorized reproduction of currency, documents, or branded goods with the intent to deceive or defraud. Under federal and Georgia law, counterfeiting is a serious criminal offense that can carry substantial prison sentences depending on the type and value of the counterfeit materials involved. Criminal illegal aliens convicted of counterfeiting are subject to both criminal penalties and federal removal proceedings.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Lu in Atlanta. He currently remains in federal immigration custody and faces removal proceedings before a Department of Justice immigration judge, with potential deportation back to China.
