Armed ‘Trantifa’ protester tased by federal agents after confronting ICE facility in Portland

A transgender-identifying Antifa protester was arrested outside the Portland ICE facility on June 24 after brandishing a weapon at federal agents, prompting a swift takedown by law enforcement that left the suspect face-down on the pavement.

The individual, known publicly as “Julie Mikela Winters,” is legally Christopher M. Hudson, a 46-year-old biological male with a history of assaulting officers. Federal agents deployed a taser after Hudson allegedly threatened them with a weapon during a nighttime confrontation that marked the third straight week of Antifa-led protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Portland.

The dramatic moment—captured on video and reported by journalist Andy Ngo—shows Hudson collapsing after the taser hit, falling face-first while attempting to flee. Agents immediately arrested him and placed him into custody under a federal hold. As of June 25, Hudson had not yet been formally charged, but authorities have already brought federal charges against at least 10 others involved in the ongoing siege of the ICE building.

Hudson, who self-identifies as transgender, was booked as a female in jail under Oregon’s gender self-identification law, despite being a 250-pound biological male. He also has a pending felony case from December 2024 for allegedly assaulting a public safety officer.

The June 24 incident occurred amid an organized Antifa campaign to disrupt ICE operations. Protesters have targeted the federal facility nightly, throwing objects, threatening agents, and attempting to breach the building. In this case, the protester was reportedly armed, escalating the confrontation and triggering the use of force by officers.

No injuries to federal agents were reported. The suspect’s weapon was confiscated, though officials have not publicly identified it. Hudson’s social media history reveals anti-police rhetoric and radical far-left views, consistent with militant Antifa ideology.

Critics have long warned that far-left extremism—especially from armed trans-identifying Antifa activists, often dubbed “Trantifa”—poses an underreported threat to public safety. This incident underscores that concern, as a violent repeat offender confronted federal law enforcement with a weapon in a major U.S. city.

While federal agents showed restraint and professionalism, many now ask: how long will government facilities be under siege before leaders acknowledge the organized nature of this threat?
