U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrests of additional criminal illegal aliens across the country, including individuals convicted of offenses such as manslaughter, sexual assault of a child and carjacking.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the arrests are part of ongoing enforcement operations targeting individuals identified as public safety threats. Officials said those taken into custody include individuals convicted of child sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said the arrests reflect continued enforcement actions focused on individuals with serious criminal histories.
“Yesterday, ICE arrested criminal illegal aliens convicted for manslaughter, sexually assaulting a child, and carjacking,” Bis said. “These types of depraved criminals should never have been in the U.S. in the first place. Our ICE officers are patriots who put their lives on the line to remove heinous criminals from our communities.”
Bis also said multiple individuals arrested during recent operations were convicted of crimes involving children.
“Yesterday, ICE arrested multiple pedophiles from across the country,” Bis said. “These monsters preyed on and victimized children. Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE is removing child predators from our country.”
In additional remarks, Bis said enforcement actions continue to target individuals convicted of violent and sexual offenses.
“Yesterday, the heroic men and women of ICE arrested multiple child predators, rapists, domestic abusers, and other heinous criminals,” Bis said. “Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the United States. If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will arrest you, deport you, and you will never return.”
