ICE arrests five of the worst criminal illegal aliens across the U.S.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced a series of significant arrests this week as part of its ongoing nationwide enforcement operations, targeting violent offenders, sexual predators, and convicted killers living illegally in the United States. Officials said the arrests reflect the Trump administration’s focus on removing “the worst of the worst” from American communities.

“With each arrest, ICE is getting pedophiles, drug dealers and violent criminals out of our country,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Nothing will deter ICE from fulfilling the President’s mandate to arrest the worst of the worst from American communities. Our brave ICE law enforcement is facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them as they carry out operations to make America safe again.”

Among the most dangerous individuals arrested this week were:

Joshua Alexander Cortez Ramirez — ICE Los Angeles arrested Ramirez, 29 and pictured above, a violent sexual predator and criminal alien from Mexico, on Sept. 30. He has been convicted in Tehama, California, of child cruelty with possible injury or death, sexual battery, and sex with a child. He was sentenced to six years in prison for these crimes, which ICE officials say highlight his ongoing threat to vulnerable victims.

Mauricio Ibarra Cruz — On Sept. 30, ICE Houston officers arrested Cruz, 28, a Mexican national convicted of sexually assaulting a child in Lubbock County, Texas. He was sentenced to two years in prison for the assault. Officials noted his case underscores ICE’s commitment to ensuring child predators are not allowed to remain in U.S. communities.

Efrain Antonio Osorio-Osorio — ICE Baltimore announced the arrest of Osorio-Osorio, 46, a violent criminal alien from Guatemala, also on Sept. 30. He was previously convicted in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, of second-degree murder and use of a handgun during the commission of a crime. He received a 30-year sentence for the murder conviction and an additional 20 years for the weapons charge. ICE said his case demonstrates how sanctuary policies and border failures allow dangerous killers to resurface in American neighborhoods.

Ales Svak — ICE Newark officers arrested Svak, 53, a criminal alien from the Czech Republic, on Sept. 29. He was convicted in North Carolina for transporting, receiving, and possessing child sexual abuse material involving a victim under the age of 12. He was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison for these crimes, which authorities said represent some of the most horrific offenses ICE targets.

Carlos Salvador Chacon Franco — On Sept. 29, ICE Houston arrested Chacon Franco, 31, a Honduran national convicted of sexually assaulting a child in Smith County, Texas. He was sentenced to five years in prison. Officials stressed his case as another example of ICE’s focus on removing repeat sexual predators.

Federal officials emphasized that these arrests are part of broader efforts to dismantle criminal networks and keep violent offenders from harming more victims. “This is why ICE exists,” one official said, pointing to the combined threat of child exploitation, sexual assault, and violent crime posed by those arrested.

ICE reiterated that it will continue prioritizing public safety by focusing its enforcement on the most dangerous criminal aliens, regardless of political opposition or growing threats against its officers.
