U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested nearly 51,000 illegal immigrants in August – a new record, according to federal law enforcement.
The 50,925 total arrests last month surpasses the previous record of 50,208 arrests in July, and 43,900 in June, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE.

“The hard-working men and women of DHS continue to break records as they defend the homeland and protect the American people,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “For the third straight month, ICE set a new record for the highest number of illegal aliens arrested in a single month, nearly 51,000. This is promises made and promises kept in action.”
“Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE is working around the clock every day to arrest and deport illegal aliens from American communities,” he added. “If you are in the country illegally, LEAVE NOW. If not, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you.”
DHS is offering illegals $3,000 and a plane ticket if they self-deport using the CBP Home App, or face arrest and deportation.
President Donald Trump has prioritized securing the U.S. border and enforcing immigration laws in his second term, with over 3 million illegals leaving the U.S. – both through self-deportation and deportation – since he took office in January 2025.
The agency also highlighted “the worst of the worst” who were arrested or deported in August, including a child pornographer from India, a convicted murderer from Kenya, and a fentanyl dealer from Guatemala.
In August, ICE conducted “Operation Rotten Apple” in illegal sanctuary state New York, where it arrested over 2,100 criminal illegals.

The Trump administration has also revoked visas of over 175,000 immigrants, citing criminal backgrounds or national security risks, Deported News previously reported.
