ICE arrests ‘worst of the worst’ criminal illegal aliens nationwide

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security highlighted a new round of arrests carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement involving criminal illegal aliens convicted of serious offenses, including sex crimes, attempted first-degree murder, and human trafficking. Federal officials said the arrests were made across multiple states as part of ongoing enforcement operations focused on public safety threats.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said ICE officers continue to carry out arrests despite challenges posed by noncooperation from some local jurisdictions. “While sanctuary politicians released criminals from their jails directly back into our communities to commit more crimes and create more American victims, our law enforcement officers were risking their lives to arrest murderers, sex offenders, and drug traffickers,” McLaughlin said. She added that cooperation with federal immigration authorities remains a key factor in public safety outcomes, noting that seven of the 10 safest cities in the United States work with ICE.

According to DHS, the latest arrests reflect a continued emphasis on identifying and removing criminal illegal aliens with violent histories and repeat offenses, rather than non-criminal immigration cases. The agency said enforcement actions remain ongoing nationwide.

Among those arrested were the following offenders:

Yukai Yang – China

Yang, a criminal illegal alien from China, was convicted in Easton, Pennsylvania, of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.

William Barragan – Ecuador

Barragan, a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador, was convicted in the Bronx, New York, of committing a criminal sexual act.

Kevin Cruz-Gutierrez – Honduras

Cruz-Gutierrez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras and a documented Paisas gang member, was arrested in Yazoo City, Mississippi. His criminal history includes convictions for sexual assault, carnal abuse, and illegal re-entry.

Sokha Suong – Cambodia

Suong, a criminal illegal alien from Cambodia, was arrested in Seattle, Washington. His criminal record includes convictions for rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault, burglary, establishing a gambling place, harassing communications, and violating a court order.

David Llama Lopez – Cuba

Llama Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba pictured above, was arrested in Miramar, Florida. DHS said he has a prior conviction for human slavery or trafficking.

DHS officials said the arrests underscore continued federal efforts to remove criminal illegal aliens who pose serious risks to American communities, emphasizing that ICE enforcement operations will continue nationwide.
