A Nigerian in the country illegally was caught half-naked with his genitals exposed while allegedly working as a canvasser in Pennsylvania, federal authorities said.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took Chimaobim Adedayo Igbojekwe into custody after he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
He was initially arrested Sept. 27 for exposing himself in public in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said.
Igbojekwe was reportedly working as a canvasser for Janelle Stelson, the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district. Her campaign manager has since refuted those allegations.
BREAKING UPDATE: Chimaobim Adedayo Igbojekwe, the man arrested for exposing himself in public while canvassing for PA Democrat @JanelleStelson's congressional campaign, is an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Nigeria.

Police in East Pennsboro Township arrested and charged Igbojekwe with indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct, officials said. The Pennsylvania court docket listed Aurora, Colorado, as his home address, Shore News Network reported.
Police allegedly caught the man in his car with his pants off, fully exposing his genitals, according to various reports. The incident occurred in a residential neighborhood near a park with residents, including children, in the area.
“It’s unbelievable that Janelle Stelson would employ an illegal alien to work on a Congressional campaign, let alone a pervert who exposed himself in public,” ICE Deputy Director Charles Wall said in a statement.
Local 21 News reported that, per a criminal complaint, police said Igbojekwe told them that he was waiting to hand out flyers for the Janelle Stelson campaign. Police also wrote that he told them he didn’t know it was illegal to be exposed in the car.
Stelson’s team denied the man worked for her campaign, issuing a statement Wednesday, Oct. 7:
“This individual is not and has never been employed by the Janelle Stelson campaign. If he is an illegal immigrant who committed a crime he should be deported. We never heard of him prior to the news of his arrest. We are grateful to law enforcement for acting swiftly to arrest him.”
In a matter of days, at a Sept. 30 hearing, the indecent exposure charge and one disorderly conduct charge were withdrawn. Igbojekwe pleaded guilty to one third-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
ICE arrested Igbojekwe on Oct. 1 and will begin removal proceedings, DHS said.
The Nigerian national was lawfully admitted to the United States in June 2017. His authorization expired in November 2019, and he illegally remained in the United States.
He was granted deferred action by the Biden Administration in September 2021, DHS officials said.
“Every single day, the men and women of DHS are working hard to target and remove dangerous illegal aliens like this sicko from our communities,” Wall said. “The Trump administration will always put the safety of the American people first.”
Scott Presler, a conservative activist known for voter mobilization, has been on the ground in Pennsylvania and broke news of the case on his X account, The Persistence.
He identified Igbojekwe as a canvasser for Stelson and said he had campaign flyers in his car.
“Why is Janelle Stelson hiring canvassers that live in Aurora, Colorado?” Presler wrote. “Don’t share this with voters in Cumberland, Dauphin, & York counties. Also, don’t expose your genitals while getting out the vote for Democrat candidates.”
Stelson is in a heated contest to flip Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, challenging Republican incumbent Scott Perry in the Nov. 3 election.
