ICE requests Utah authorities hold Mexican national accused of sexually assaulting 14-year-old girl

An illegal immigrant who was marked as a non-enforcement priority by the Biden administration has been arrested in Park City, Utah, accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

Conrrado Ahuexoteco Atrisco, 24, was arrested on suspicion of forcible sexual abuse (a second-degree felony), and providing false information to a peace officer (a class B misdemeanor).

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement also wants custody of the Mexican national if local authorities are going to let him go. ICE lodged an arrest detainer for Atrisco on March 5, requesting the local jail notify ICE before releasing him.

Park City Today reported prosecutors in the case have asked Summit County officials to keep Atrisco locked up in jail, as they consider him a flight risk and a threat to public safety in the wealthy Utah town.

Following news of Atrisco’s arrest, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security released more details on his background.

Atrisco and his mother previously entered the U.S. illegally near the Sonora desert and were arrested and removed by U.S. Border Patrol.

Atrisco re-entered the country again, which is a felony, but the Biden administration marked his immigration case as a non-enforcement priority in 2022, DHS said.

“These are the kinds of predators sanctuary politicians are protecting by refusing to cooperate with ICE law enforcement,” said DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “We have requested Utah authorities not release this pedophile and sexual predator from their jail without notifying ICE.”

The 14-year-old victim is a student at Park City High School and reported the alleged sexual assault to the school resource officer on Feb. 25, ABC4 News reported.

Local police officers were then notified of the incident and interviewed the victim the next day at the Summit County Children’s Justice Center.

The victim told police that she went to her friend’s house, which is located near the high school. She said she was watching TikTok videos when her friend’s 24-year-old ex-boyfriend came over and asked if he could watch the videos with her, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The victim told police she initially agreed, and Atrisco got on the bed with her. He tried to hug and cuddle her, but she asked him to stop, telling him she did not want to be touched.

Atrisco allegedly pulled her sweatpants down and began forcibly touching and sexually assaulting her.

The victim was taken to the hospital for a medical examination, and it was observed that there were scratches on her body, ABC4 reported.

According to other details, the victim said that they were the only two in the room at the time. Her friend was reportedly in the shower.

The victim got up out of bed, and when her friend came out of the shower, she told her what happened and an argument ensued between the three of them, ABC4 reported. She called her mom to come and get her and later told her mom about the incident.

The victim said she did not know the ex-boyfriend’s name but described him as a Hispanic male with a mustache and a buzzcut. She also showed police his Instagram account, which is how they later identified Atrisco through the account.

Police also conducted other interviews of people at the apartment and obtained a search warrant for Atrisco’s DNA.

When they went to his residence to serve the warrant, he reportedly lied to police and said his name was Jose and that he lived in another apartment.

Atrisco told police that he had heard “untrue rumors” that he had “been with” the victim but that he had never touched her inappropriately. He also told police that he and the victim’s friend were “just friends” and they were “never boyfriend and girlfriend.”

ABC4 reported that the arresting officer requested Atrisco be held without bail. He could be a flight risk because “he does not appear to have legal status” in the United States.

ICE Houston has arrested over 400 criminal illegal child sex offenders in President Donald Trump’s first year back in office.

Bis said ICE has removed more than 713,000 illegal aliens from the country, prioritizing people convicted of child molestation, rape, sexual battery and murder.

“These types of monsters have no place in American communities,” Bis said. “Under President Trump, we will continue to fight for the arrest and removal of criminal illegal aliens to protect American families.”
