ICE, state police arrest illegal alien accused of selling cocaine from Virginia barbershop

Federal immigration authorities, working alongside Virginia State Police, arrested a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic accused of selling cocaine out of a barbershop in North Chesterfield, Va., according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations and ICE Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested 38-year-old Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar on Nov. 11 following a brief foot pursuit. Authorities said the arrest was the result of a joint operation targeting narcotics distribution and related criminal activity.

During a subsequent search of Goris-Andujar’s residence, law enforcement officers recovered two firearms — an AR-style rifle and a pistol — along with high-capacity magazines and ammunition. ICE said the weapons were seized as evidence.

“Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar’s arrest shows the strength of cooperation with our federal and state law enforcement partners,” ICE Washington, D.C. Field Office Director Robert Guadian said. “He was unlawfully in possession of firearms while allegedly distributing illegal narcotics in our community.”

Guadian said ICE will continue prioritizing public safety by targeting criminal illegal aliens involved in drug trafficking and other serious offenses in Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C., region.

ICE officials said Goris-Andujar entered the United States illegally at an unknown date and location without inspection, admission, or parole by an immigration officer. Following his arrest, ICE served him with a notice to appear before a Justice Department immigration judge for removal proceedings.

Goris-Andujar remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his immigration case.

ICE has repeatedly emphasized that joint operations with state and local law enforcement are a key component of its efforts to identify and remove illegal aliens involved in criminal activity, particularly those tied to narcotics distribution and firearms offenses.
