A Missouri teen pleaded for his life. Now ICE is pleading with Missouri officials not to release the Honduran gang member who murdered the teen in cold blood.
An 18-year-old Honduran national faces first-degree murder charges in the ambush killing of 15-year-old Miles Young, who pleaded for his life before being shot to death, authorities said.
According to charging documents and a press release from the Department of Homeland Security, Young was made to believe he was meeting a girl on the evening of March 12. Instead, he found Yefry Archaga-Elvir waiting for him with a gun. Suspects, allegedly associated with the 1300 gang, used vehicles to block Young’s car, forcing him to flee on foot.
Archaga-Elvir then chased Young down as he pleaded for his life and shot him in the chest, witnesses told investigators. Young’s final words were “I just don’t want to die.”
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis noted: “Miles Young was lured to his death believing he was going to meet a girl. Instead, he was ambushed and killed in cold blood by this illegal alien who went on to brag about the murder.”
According to the probable cause affidavit, that “braggadocios” phone call, boasting about the murder, led to the arrest of Archaga-Elvir who is also a suspect in a separate firearm assault allegedly affiliated with the “1300” gang.
Court documents show that Young had been scheduled to testify as an eyewitness to a separate 2025 Greene County murder case. Authorities believe the suspects specifically lured Young to his death, in order to silence that testimony.
Another senseless barbaric murder by an illegal alien who NEVER should have been in our communities.

According to DHS, Archaga-Elvir entered the U.S. illegally but was released under the Obama administration after a 2015 apprehension in Texas. Following a two-week manhunt, Archaga-Elvir was arrested and is now being held without bond in Greene County Jail. ICE, lodging a detainer, has requested Missouri authorities not to release the “monstrous illegal alien.”
