Six-time deportees, violent felons among criminal aliens arrested in Houston sweep

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently arrested six illegal aliens in the Houston area who have collectively entered the United States unlawfully 42 times and accumulated 48 criminal convictions.

“For the past 20 years, these six violent criminal aliens have brazenly violated our nation’s immigration and criminal laws, wreaking havoc in our local communities and leaving countless victims in their wake,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez. “Thanks to the current administration’s focus on securing the border and making immigration enforcement a priority, they have been removed from the local community and will no longer be able to prey on innocent Americans.”

Among those arrested:

  • Oscar Moran Valle, 43, a Mexican national and documented Paisas gang member, has illegally entered the U.S. 12 times. He has 11 criminal convictions, including multiple entries, DWI, drug possession, larceny, and illegal reentry. He was arrested July 29.
  • Thanh Van Nguyen, 53, of Vietnam, has nine convictions, including three for burglary, two each for larceny and assault, and others for obstructing police and property damage.
  • Alex Salomon Reyes-Chavez, 46, of Honduras, has been deported five times and convicted of seven crimes, including burglary, heroin possession, grand theft auto, cocaine trafficking, and illegal reentry.
  • Marvin Javier Marquez Celaya, 38, also from Honduras, has been deported five times and has eight convictions, including burglary, cocaine possession, domestic violence, and illegal reentry.
  • Angel Bonilla Barahona, 38, another Honduran national, entered the U.S. unlawfully seven times. He has seven convictions, including assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and illegal reentry.
  • Jose Angel Munoz Saucedo, 40, a Mexican national, was arrested July 30. He has entered the U.S. 12 times and has been convicted of DWI, illegal entry, and fleeing law enforcement.

All six men remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.

ICE emphasized that these arrests reflect renewed efforts under the Trump administration to prioritize border security and the removal of criminal aliens who repeatedly violate U.S. laws. Officials say operations like this aim to reduce the threat posed by repeat offenders and transnational gang members living unlawfully in American communities.
