President Donald Trump’s State Department has designated four European Antifa groups as foreign terrorist organizations, taking his fight with left-wing groups international.
The State Department announced the FTOs, a designation that becomes effective on November 20, are Antifa Ost of Germany, Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front of Italy, the Armed Proletarian Justice of Greece, and the Revolutionary Class Self-Defense of Greece.
Anarchist militants have waged terror campaigns in the United States and Europe, conspiring to undermine the foundations of Western Civilization through their brutal attacks.

The Trump administration has taken actions to counter left-wing political violence in the wake of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and attacks on U.S. immigration officials.
The move to designate foreign Antifa groups comes after the Trump administration in September designated Antifa groups in the U.S. as domestic terrorist organizations. President Trump has also designated international cartels operating in the U.S. like Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as FTOs.
In September, President Trump issued a national security memo that Secretary of State Marco Rubio said aims “to disrupt self-described ‘anti-fascism’ networks, entities, and organizations that use political violence and terroristic acts to undermine democratic institutions, constitutional rights, and fundamental liberties.”

“Groups affiliated with this movement ascribe to revolutionary anarchist or Marxist ideologies, including anti-Americanism, ‘anti-capitalism,’ and anti-Christianity, using these to incite and justify violent assaults domestically and overseas,” Rubio said in a statement.
According to the State Department, Antifa Ost has attacked people it “perceives as ‘fascists’ or part of the ‘right-wing scene’ in Germany. Armed Proletarian Justice and Revolutionary Class Self-Defense have both conducted attacks in Greece using improvised explosive devices.
