ICE HSI Los Angeles Integrated Operations Group arrested Xavier Washington, a 38-year-old United States citizen and 74 Hoover gang member, on August 19. Washington faces federal charges of sex trafficking of children as part of a coordinated operation targeting human trafficking networks in Los Angeles.
The 74 Hoover gang has been linked to multiple criminal enterprises throughout Los Angeles County. HSI agents conducted the investigation in cooperation with local law enforcement to identify and apprehend individuals involved in trafficking operations.
Washington remains in federal custody pending trial. Sex trafficking of minors carries severe federal penalties, including mandatory minimum sentences and potential life imprisonment. HSI continues to prioritize cases involving the exploitation of children and works closely with community partners to combat human trafficking.
