Lam Trinh/Vietnam/Assault

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Lam Trinh, a criminal illegal alien from Vietnam, in Saint Albans, Vermont, on charges of assault.

Assault is a criminal offense under Vermont law involving an intentional act that places another person in reasonable fear of imminent harmful or offensive contact. Depending on the circumstances and whether a weapon was involved, assault can be charged as a misdemeanor or felony. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Trinh in Saint Albans. He currently remains in federal immigration custody and faces removal proceedings before a Department of Justice immigration judge, with potential deportation back to Vietnam.
