U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrests of additional criminal illegal aliens across the country, including individuals convicted of murder, sexual offenses involving minors and attempted murder.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the arrests are part of ongoing enforcement actions targeting individuals identified as public safety threats. Officials said those taken into custody include offenders convicted of homicide, sexual assault, drug distribution and violent assault.
Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers continue nationwide operations focused on individuals with serious criminal histories.
“Every day the men and women of ICE risk their lives to remove murderers, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, and terrorists from our communities,” Bis said. “Just yesterday, ICE arrested criminal illegal aliens across the country, including multiple murderers, pedophiles, and one individual convicted for two counts of attempted murder.”
In a separate statement, Bis said recent enforcement actions also included individuals convicted of sexual assault, drug distribution and other violent offenses.
“Yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, pedophiles, and drug dealers from our communities,” Bis said. “ICE officers continue enforcement efforts targeting criminal illegal aliens who pose a threat to public safety.”
Below are five offenders highlighted by federal authorities:
Sarath Lon
Lon, a criminal illegal alien from Cambodia, was convicted in Concord, Massachusetts, of second-degree murder. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested him during enforcement operations targeting individuals convicted of homicide.

Osmar Contreras-Bautista
Contreras-Bautista, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was convicted in Bakersfield, California, of unlawful sexual activity with a minor more than three years younger. Federal officials said he was taken into custody during recent enforcement actions.

Luis Angel Campos-Quintero
Campos-Quintero, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico pictured above, was convicted in Passaic County, New Jersey, of sexual assault of a minor. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested him as part of nationwide operations targeting individuals convicted of sexual crimes.
Fernando Lopez-Soliz
Lopez-Soliz, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was convicted in DeKalb County, Georgia, of sexual battery and aggravated assault. Authorities said he was among those arrested during enforcement operations targeting individuals with violent criminal histories.

Phil John Amazona Yumang
Yumang, a criminal illegal alien from the Philippines, was convicted in Las Vegas, Nevada, of two counts of attempted murder and battery with the use of a deadly weapon. Federal officials said his arrest was part of enforcement efforts targeting individuals convicted of serious violent offenses.
