Los Angeles-based Enforcement and Removal Operations officers arrested 30-year-old Guatemalan national Elmer Amilcar Lopez Jimenez on November 29 during targeted immigration enforcement activities.

Lopez Jimenez is a criminal alien with multiple burglary convictions, indicating a repeated pattern of property crimes against local residents and businesses.

Because of his unlawful presence in the United States and his record of repeated burglaries, authorities have classified him as a priority offender for immigration enforcement.

He was transferred to ICE custody following his arrest and is currently detained pending removal proceedings, during which officials will seek his deportation based on both his immigration violations and his criminal history.
