Eminem Joan Cruz Sosa/Honduras/Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

ICE New Orleans deported Eminem Joan Cruz Sosa, a citizen of Honduras. Court records show a felony conviction for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, for which a judge imposed a five-year jail sentence. After completion of the criminal portion of the case, deportation officers assumed custody, verified identity through biometrics, assembled certified judgment and sentencing documents, and coordinated travel authorization with Honduran authorities.

Cruz Sosa was placed on a scheduled repatriation itinerary from the New Orleans area and escorted in accordance with transport and security protocols. Upon arrival in Honduras, custody was transferred to local officials pursuant to the executed removal order.

The immigration and criminal tracks in this matter proceeded separately: the adjudicated felony established the record relied upon for removability, and the removal order addressed custody and status inside the United States.
