Miguel Alfaro-Guzman
Miguel Alfaro-Guzman/El Salvador/DWI
Miguel Alfaro-Guzman, 49, a Salvadoran national and confirmed member of the transnational criminal organization MS-13, was arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers for unlawfully reentering the United States. Alfaro is illegally present in the country and has a significant criminal history that includes two prior felony convictions for illegal entry into the U.S., as well as two separate convictions for driving while intoxicated.
ICE officers apprehended Alfaro during targeted enforcement activity, citing his gang affiliation and repeated violations of U.S. immigration law. His known membership in MS-13, a violent criminal organization with a history of drug trafficking, extortion, and brutal assaults, was a major factor in the decision to pursue arrest and prosecution. Authorities confirmed that Alfaro has no legal permission to remain in the United States and that his prior removals and felony convictions classify his presence as a federal offense under immigration statutes.
In addition to his past convictions, Alfaro will face prosecution for illegal reentry after removal, a felony offense under U.S. law. He is currently in federal custody awaiting prosecution and subsequent removal proceedings. Due to his criminal and gang history, ICE considers Alfaro a continued enforcement priority and a risk to public safety.
