ICE officers have identified Nelson Vladimir Gonzalez Del Pino Rodriguez as a violent criminal illegal alien with a long history of serious offenses, including second-degree murder and multiple aggravated assaults on law enforcement officers. Records show he repeatedly resisted arrest, both with and without violence, escaped or fled from custody, and accumulated several DUI convictions over the years.

Authorities report that Gonzalez Del Pino has already served substantial prison time, including a 10-year sentence for murder and aggravated assault on a police officer, before being taken back into federal custody. On Jan. 12, ICE and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested him in Hialeah as part of a South Florida operation targeting Cuban nationals with violent criminal histories, and he will remain detained pending immigration proceedings.
