ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston deported Wilmer Alexi Garcia‑Manzanarez, an illegal Salvadoran national and documented MS‑13 gang leader, to El Salvador on November 3. Officers removed him from the United States and transferred him directly to Salvadoran authorities upon arrival. Garcia‑Manzanarez is the subject of Interpol Red Notices for homicide and terrorist affiliation linked to his role in the transnational MS‑13 organization.​

Beyond his foreign criminal exposure, Garcia‑Manzanarez has a significant U.S. criminal record. His convictions include burglary, menacing or intimidation with a weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol, property damage, and driving without a license, demonstrating a pattern of dangerous conduct while living in Massachusetts and other states.​

According to federal authorities, he had previously been removed from the U.S. multiple times and repeatedly reentered illegally before his latest arrest in February 2024 and subsequent removal.
